Some time ago we bought to our company"s server room twenty wall mounted cabinets. We decided to pay more and we chose a product from our country and not the Chinese stuff. When the cabinets were delivered to us we were very pleased. They looked very solid and I must say that they were first class products. The problems started when our workers started to mount the wall mounted cabinets on the walls. It turned out that most of the cabinets did not have a sufficient number of rack mounting hardware. Additionally this hardware was produced in China. So we had wall mounted cabinets made in our country but the additional equipment was cheap Asian one. The screws were useless because they were bending when we tried to drive them. As I said before not only the quality of the hardware was bad. Also the number of it. Every single cabinet missed about half of the hardware. Well maybe buying a couple of screws is not a big problem but we thought that we will get a complete product and not half of it. I asked a couple of other workers and they said that it is a very common problem with this kind of stuff. The traders are making money double, when they are selling incomplete hardware and when they sell the well made and complete hardware separately. I guess that nowadays everything is tightly connected with making money which is not always connected with quality.
