Two old white cots
The walls of the flat were covered in old paintings of all sorts as well as lots of photographs. There were photos of family members, friends and children. They were old, black and white, a bit faded and unclear. I entered the nursery room, which was quite modern compared to the rest of the house, but there was also an old framed photograph on the wall. We could see how the room looked a hundred years ago. There was a huge dark wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The items looked very heavy. I could also see two cot bed in the corner. In the cots two children, probably twin sisters, were sleeping. I asked the owner of the house who the children were and she told me that it was her grandmother and her sister in the photograph. I looked at the place around me and realised that the two cot bed were still there. The owner of the house confirmed that they were the same beds. They never threw them away. All children in the family used them. Her daughter had just had two boys. Well, there seemed to be a lot of twin siblings in the family. We decided to go to the living room and have some coffee. I liked the woman and I liked the house. I was really happy that I would be working there. And the photographs on the walls made me think that I was actually in the past.
